Ashley and I are driving over night and could use some help. We need a Knoxville facial surgeon recommendation. I have a broken jaw and we just left the ER. They were going to schedule surgery here in a day or so but we thought we’d try to get home. It was a tubing accident on the intercostal waterway in north Carolina. We have to find someone in Knoxville tomorrow and have no idea where to start. I don’t have health insurance either.
We could use your prayers. Ashley is driving and we are almost to Richmond now. I’m numb from my drugs but my chin is cracked clean through and I can’t eat or swallow. My mouth is torn and my teeth sideways. I’m scared about taking my pain medicine soon when my stomach is empty. Addair is asleep now but if he wakes up it’s going to be an impossible situation. Please pray for us, this is quite a mess. Thanks

Praying for you. Will help however we can. No idea about specific surgeons but Katie’s idea sounds like a possibility. We’re out of town right now but when we’re both back we should talk and figure out where things stand and what we can do.

Levon!!!! i am messaging you w/info about the medical fund… i am so sorry you have to endure this!!! the money should definitely not be your first concern. there are lots of people that love you and will help you navigate all that. first order of business is getting your jaw set. also, i work tomorrow, but am around Sunday and Monday (my plans changed b/c i was to take care of your dog and looks like i will be doing what i can to take care of you all instead!). I would LOVE to help you all out with transportation, watching Addair, etc over the next few days. Keep me posted. Sending love and prayers your way…

I may have some ideas and suggestions when you are in Knoxville. Get in touch in the morning when you are in town. Hang in there on the drive back. Many are praying for you.

Thanks everybody. We’re stopping in roanoke at a bigger hospital. We called our nurse from va beach and she said they may be able to perform the surgery without having to schedule it out. Hoping so.
Lauren Rider said:
Levon- hope everything is/was ok through the night. If you end up getting some care in Knoxville, Steven says Dr. Gotcher at UT. He says definitely c the oral surgery group at UT. Steven has broken his jaw twice & had everything rebuilt. You will persevere. Good luck, wishes, prayers for you, Ashley & the baby. This is a rough time. Also, Steven knows a lot of blender recipes! Been there, done that!

My mom told me about this. So sorry for you guys!! We’ll be praying for you too!

Rebekah, do you know if they are coming back to Knoxville today? Did he have surgery in Roanoke?
Rebekah Campbell on Facebook said:
No they released him and I don’t know if she’s trying to make it to Tazewell where her family is or if she’ll try and drive straight through. I guess it’ll depend on Levon’s pain.

We are flexible all weekend so if you need anything at all – somebody to come get you and drive you back, food, or anything, we will be glad to do it. We know that you feel overwhelmed right now but realize you are loved and folks will do whatever it takes to help you.

I’m praying for you guys! Not sure if you’ve already had the surgery but if you’re waiting until you come back to Knoxville, a friend had jaw surgery when she was little and said her surgeon was Dr. Gotcher. Hope this helps; let me know if I can help in any other way!
