Ysa and Addair, last March
We had a moment last night, Zoe and Ysa and me. They’re my sisters-in-law, ages 10 and 12. We tore out of Grace Acres at about 9:00 PM headed to town for ice cream and junk food. They brought their Taylor Swift CD because they wanted me to hear a song. I wouldn’t know any Taylor Swift songs…
Five miles down the road the windows were down and Taylor was cranked, little girls singing every word by heart like a Taylor chorus and me chasing them but unable to hit the range. At the end of the first track we were sitting at a stop sign on HW 29 and it felt like we had something special. I may have found some co writers.
