Very artistic and expressive dancing. I did it here at work, move for move, and I could see people calling on their cell phones and pointing at me.
    My thighs hurt.

Another dancing painter who has quite a following on Youtube goes by Tengobaila. She’s 55 and moves like a Soul Train dancer. Check out “All She Wants to Do is Dance” and “Puttin’ on the Ritz.”

Dancing painter is not an official category, but in his “Lives of the Artists,” (1568 edition), Giorgio Vasari (1511-1574) makes certain observations about da Vinci that have led some to argue that Leonardo created the dance moves for both “The Monkey” and “The Mashed Potato.” Others attribute “The Monkey” moves to Michelangelo, and use as proof the twisting figures on the altar wall of the Sistine Chapel.

Keep in mind that Vasari’s words must be decoded. I’m surprised Dan Brown hasn’t yet written about this.
